Recognize the drift
Notice when and how you began moving away from yourself without turning the explanation into an accusation.
How to recenter when you know what needs to change but still feel stuck.
Maybe your life still looks good from the outside. You love your people. You are grateful for much of what you have built. You are not asking to burn it all down. But privately, you know something is off.
You may not need to become a new woman. You may need to come back into alignment with the woman you already are.
A gentle, practical guide to help you recognize where you drifted, remember what matters and choose one aligned step forward.
Ten in hospital nursing, twenty-one in corporate leadership.
Recognize, remember, reveal, recenter, return.
Long enough to be honest. Short enough to finish.
Small enough to complete. Meaningful enough to matter.
This work is for the capable woman who has spent years doing what was needed, loving her people and keeping everything moving, but can no longer ignore the quiet feeling that she has drifted away from herself.
Nothing about this means you are broken. You may simply need a way to find your center again.
There is a difference between rebuilding a life and returning to one. Almost everyone who finds this work is closer to themselves than they think.
The Recenter Path is not a formula for creating a perfect life. It is a way to understand what is keeping you stuck and begin moving from where you actually are.
Notice when and how you began moving away from yourself without turning the explanation into an accusation.
Look beneath your roles and responsibilities to the values and qualities that are still true about you.
Name what is actually blocking the next step: capacity, fear, clarity, support or scale.
Choose one action that is small enough to complete and meaningful enough to matter.
Decide how you will come back when real life interrupts the plan. An interruption does not erase your progress.
Recenter is a verb. It is something we practice, not a destination we permanently achieve.
The Recenter PathThe Recenter Path Worksheet is not a download. It is a page on this site with the five questions from Jennifer's summit presentation and room to answer them, saved as you go so you can stop and come back.
You do not need to solve your whole life today. Begin with one value, one honest barrier, one aligned action and one way back when life interrupts.
Free, and no coaching purchase is required. You give an email address to open it, and when you finish, your answers go to Jennifer.
I'm Jennifer Cook, RN, BSN, MSM, a registered nurse, former corporate healthcare leader and founder of From Lost to Aligned.
My 31-year healthcare career included 10 years in hospital nursing and management followed by more than 21 years in corporate healthcare leadership. I spent much of my adult life seeing what needed to happen, creating a plan and helping other people move forward.
And still, there came a season when I could do that for everyone except myself.
The work is rarely dramatic. It is one honest question, then the next one, on an ordinary week, with the far shore still out of sight.
Jennifer is developing a private one-to-one coaching experience for women who are functioning on the outside but feel stuck, disconnected or uncertain about their next chapter.
It puts you on a short list, kept separately from the worksheet list, so Jennifer knows why you joined. When a limited number of individual spaces open, you hear first.
Private coaching will be offered individually. Group coaching is not currently planned. Joining does not create an obligation or guarantee availability.
On YouTube, Jennifer shares honest stories, practical reflections and grounded next steps for women navigating midlife change, identity shifts, grief, caregiving, health concerns and unexpected new chapters.
If you are tired of being told to reinvent yourself, start here.
Recognize the drift. Remember what matters. Reveal the real barrier. Recenter through one aligned action. Return without restarting.
Because functioning is not the same as living. And you were never meant to just function. You were meant to actually live.

The worksheet is deliberately short. If you would like the reasoning underneath each question — why drift is not a character flaw, why one action beats a whole new plan — that is what the Recenter Path page is for.

About JenniferJennifer Cook, RN, BSN, MSM
I'm Jennifer Cook, RN, BSN, MSM, a registered nurse, former corporate healthcare leader and founder of From Lost to Aligned.
My 31-year healthcare career included 10 years in hospital nursing and management followed by more than 21 years in corporate healthcare leadership. I spent much of my adult life seeing what needed to happen, creating a plan and helping other people move forward.
And still, there came a season when I could do that for everyone except myself.
After years of caregiving, grief, responsibility and being the strong one, I realized I had become exceptionally good at functioning while gradually losing touch with what made me feel fully alive. Then, in November 2025, I was laid off from the company where I had spent more than two decades. That transition made the questions I had been carrying impossible to ignore.
From Lost to Aligned grew from what I began learning in that season: we do not always need to discard who we have been and invent someone new. Sometimes we need to remember what matters, tell the truth about what is getting in the way and take one credible step back toward ourselves.
I am not speaking from a flawless finish line. I am sharing from further down a road I am still walking.

The Recenter Path Worksheet covers the same five questions Jennifer works through with people one to one. It is free, and it is a real place to start.
Coaching is not therapy, medical care or crisis support. Jennifer shares educational and personal-development content, and will say plainly when something calls for a different kind of professional.
Most of what you want is probably reachable from here. That is usually the discovery, not the destination.
Recenter, don't reinvent.
Thank you for sitting with me for those few minutes. The five questions I walked through are below, in a format you can actually write in.
